Places to legally watch Anime online

Well YahooView has shut down and Viewster is currently moving, so once again options are decreasing.

First we have Because.Moe which isn't a streaming site itself but one that can search for shows to find where to legally stream them.  But some sites don't show up on it, and I've found stuff with an official English name only shows up if you search the English name.  And it includes sites that don't have ad supported Free viewing.

Crunchyroll/VRV and Tubitv.com seem to be the only ones Because.Moe searches that do have free viewing.  Lots of people have Netflix, Hulu and Amazon for other reasons so it's good there is Anime there.  But that HIDIVE chose to end it's ad supported free viewing option still enrages me.

Among other things Because.Moe doesn't search YouTube which is understandable since YouTube has both official and unofficial uploads.  I think FUNimation has an official YouTube channel but I know there are some for Nozomi, Discotek, GundamInfo, Beyblade, Bakugan, CardFight, FutureCard, Pokemon, TMS.  Some of those don't have much on them, and I think none have everything that company owns the license for.

Because.Moe also doesn't include what's on the official websites for Viz, Pokemon and Yugioh, I personally have no idea what is and isn't watchable on those sites, don't go to them expecting them to have nearly everything they should have.

Adult Swim's official website only has the most recently aired on Adult Swim episodes.  Sony Crackle is an option I recently learned about, it has more then just Anime.  But speaking of sites that have Anime plus other stuff AsianCrush looks interesting.

If anyone knows of any other options for watching Anime online Legally For Free please mention in the comments.

I personally do no morally disapprove of using unofficial sites to watch Anime, I'm against Copyright and Intellectual Property laws to begin with, and there is a lot of Anime that simply isn't being legally provided to us at all.  But there are reasons why I don't want to name any of those sites on this Blog, and I respect other people's choice not to use them.  For one thing they do have a somewhat of a virus/malware risk.  I would recommend YouTube for the few things that can be found there, but lately YouTube only has stuff that's old out of print and somewhat obscure.

Update December 2019:

A lot of what was on SonyCrackle is gone now.

But the good news is at least some of Symphogear is on YouTube..
